Stephanie Assali

President, Chief Operations Officer

Stephanie Assali is a seasoned financial services executive with over 25 years of experience in financial services businesses related to positive social impact. As President and Operations Manager of American Pacific Financial Services Corp. (APFSC), she oversees a wide range of services including credit counseling, debt management, housing counseling, and bankruptcy support. Under her leadership, APFSC has become a trusted provider of consumer financial and counseling services, recognized for its ethical practices and client advocacy.

Stephanie began her career by founding Shea Processing Services in Costa Mesa, California, where she specialized in contract loan processing. She later joined Promontory Financial, conducting high-priority foreclosure audits for Wells Fargo, and served as a mortgage broker at First International Mortgage Acceptance Corp and Portola Lending Corporation

Since 2014, she has focused her efforts on helping individuals and families navigate financial challenges with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. Her deep industry expertise and operational leadership have been critical in expanding APFSC’s reach across multiple states while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional client support.

Stephanie earned her degree from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and holds multiple professional licenses in mortgage and financial services. She is also a proud mother of four and brings the same dedication and care to her family life as she does to her work.

Based in Lake Forest, California, she is widely respected in the financial community for her honesty, diligence, and unwavering commitment to fair and transparent financial practices.

George Anderson

Vice President
Board Member

George Anderson has served as Vice President of American Pacific Financial Services Corp. (APFSC) since 2017, bringing decades of tax expertise and leadership to the organization. In this role, George supports the strategic direction and operational oversight of APFSC’s national financial counseling programs, helping individuals and families navigate debt, housing challenges, and financial hardship with integrity and compassion.
Prior to joining APFSC, George built a distinguished career in public accounting, working with major firms including KPMG, Coopers & Lybrand, and BDO. After retiring from BDO due to its early retirement policy, he launched his own tax practice, which he continues to operate. His areas of specialization include corporate and partnership taxation, as well as advising both high-net-worth and everyday individuals.
George is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also served on the boards of various financial institutions, offering financial and governance expertise.
Beyond his professional work, George is committed to community and faith-based service. He has supported causes such as the UCI Athletic Foundation and is an active member of Mariners Church. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, staying active, and traveling with his family.

Cindy Tanezaki

Cindy Tanezaki is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor for five years before serving as a Controller for a real estate investing firm for 12 years. In 2010, Cindy launched her own CPA practice, providing accounting services to a diverse range of clients, including law firms, doctors, architects, real estate investors, manufacturing companies, and professional service providers. She is also a former board member of the National Charity League Irvine, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening mother-daughter relationships through community service and leadership development. Mary Cassedy

Vice President Housing, Licensed HUD Counselor

Mrs. Mary Cassedy brings over 25 years of experience in the real estate and housing industry to her role at American Pacific Financial Services Corporation (APFSC). She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco and a Juris Doctorate from the American College of Law.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Cassedy has specialized in residential sales, rental and property management, loan processing, and loan modifications. Her work with the Housing Authority provided her with valuable experience in public housing programs and community-based housing services.
A strong advocate for housing access and financial empowerment, Mrs. Cassedy has volunteered extensively with nonprofit organizations throughout Southern California, helping individuals and families overcome barriers to housing stability.
At APFSC, Mrs. Cassedy is proud to support the organization’s mission by delivering high-quality housing counseling services and helping create pathways to sustainable homeownership and financial well-being for clients nationwide.

William Weeks

Accountant

Deacon Bill Weeks is a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange in California. He has served at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin, where he held roles as both Business Services Manager and Finance Manager. In these capacities, he oversaw financial operations and led significant initiatives, including a major capital campaign for the parish

Beyond his administrative duties, Deacon Weeks has been deeply involved in pastoral ministry. He has been recognized for his commitment to serving the faithful and was recently honored as he transitioned to new assignments within the Diocese of Orange.

With over 25 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and audit, William (Bill) has built a reputation for excellence across a diverse range of industries. He has held key financial roles at globally recognized organizations including Citibank, The Walt Disney Company, Skechers USA, and SM&A, consistently delivering high-impact results and operational improvements.

Among his notable professional achievements, Bill played an instrumental role in the successful launch of the International Division at Skechers USA, helping expand the company’s global footprint. His commitment to operational excellence has been recognized with prestigious awards, including The Walt Disney Company’s Spirit of Disneyland Award for Operational Excellence and Citibank’s NOVA Award for enhancing branch efficiency.

Michael Shea

Mike Shea has served as Chief Technology Officer and a dedicated Board Member of American Pacific Financial Services Corp (APFSC) since 2017. With over two decades of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure, Mike leads the development and execution of APFSC’s technology strategy—advancing secure, scalable systems that drive innovation across the organization’s nationwide programs.
Known for his commitment to tech-driven solutions in the nonprofit space, Mike has spearheaded initiatives that enhanced client data protection, modernized internal platforms, and expanded APFSC’s virtual service delivery. His leadership in digital transformation has enabled the agency to better serve diverse populations through secure, accessible, and user-focused technology.
Mike is passionate about leveraging innovation to solve complex challenges and empower financial wellness in underserved communities. His forward-thinking mindset continues to position APFSC as a leader in nonprofit technology solutions.
Outside of his work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with his family and catching waves—combining his love for surfing with his passion for balance and creativity.

Christina Shea

Chief Strategy & Political Liaison Officer

Christina L. Shea is a long-serving political figure in Irvine, California, known for her extensive involvement in the city’s governance over several decades. Christina Shea’s business and community experience in our OC Community, is extensive.

She is an active Realtor presently working for Prismlink Properties in Newport Beach.

Christina served the City of Irvine as a directly elected Mayor, Councilwoman and Commissioner for over 28 years.

Beyond her political roles, Shea has been active in various community initiatives, including serving as Chairwoman of the Orange County Great Park Board of Directors and the Irvine Community Land Trust.

Her business background also includes serving on the board of directors for the OC Transportation
Corridor Agency as Chair, The OC Fire Authority, and the OC Sanitation District.

She worked for Kia Motors for 12 years as an independent business consultant.

Christina was named Woman of the Year in 2008 by the State of California Legislature And as Mayor of Irvine, she was named by the OC Metro one of 10 top OC Women making a difference in Orange County.

Political Career

  • Irvine City Council: Shea was first elected to the Irvine City Council in 1992. After serving a four-year term, she returned to the council in 2002 and continued until 2010. City of Irvine
  • Mayor of Irvine: Shea was elected mayor in 1996 and re-elected in 1998. She served again as mayor from April 2019.

Gino Clemente

Transitioning into the Insurance and Financial Services industry, Gino continued to excel, leveraging his leadership skills and strong business acumen to build a top-tier career. Over the past two decades, he has consistently ranked among the best in the industry, earning recognition for his ability to foster client relationships, drive revenue growth, and lead teams to success. Gino’s comprehensive knowledge of financial planning, insurance strategies, and risk management has made him a trusted advisor for both individuals and businesses.
